The Stock Market Game Awards Luncheon
Today, Economics Arkansas and the SIFMA Foundation honored teams from across Arkansas that competed in the 2018-2019 Stock Market Game. More than 4,000 teams competed this year. Our school competed in the after school division during our 21st Century time. We took both 1st and 2nd place in this division. In fact, we took the first eight places but they gave awards to the top two teams in each division. We got trophies, medals, certificates and cash. Our first place team, Money, received $125 and our second place team, Youbestock, received $75. Congratulations to Emmarie, Aaliyah, and Michael for winning 1st place with a final portfolio value of $113,637.48. Congratulations to Evan, Caleb and Arlo for winning 2nd place with a final portfolio value of $112,673.57. Take a look at how all ten of our teams did. They really had a good year!
At the luncheon, we were served a wonderful lunch and got to hear Doug McMillon, President/CEO of Walmart, speak as well as the SIFMA Foundation President, Melanie Mortimer. The kids had a great time and learned a lot this year during their game play. We look forward to hopefully winning this division for the third year in a row in 2020!
