On behalf of the George Washington Carver Magnet school family, welcome to our school’s website!  We encourage you to check back often for updates about all the amazing learning activities and special events held as part of our school community.   About us:  Carver is a math and science focused magnet school in the Little Rock School District.   Located on East 6th street just a few blocks from the Clinton Presidential Library, Carver is home to students ranging from Preschool-Age 3 to 5th Grade.  Little Rock School District students may apply for admission to Carver by completing an Optional Enrollment Form.

 

Carver Magnet Elementary offers unique learning opportunities through a standards based curriculum that integrates math and science for all students.   First and foremost, we value students and their families by establishing a culture of learning that supports student needs. School wide morning news broadcasts, classroom morning meetings, and our school wide house system support the development of leadership and interpersonal skills; and Carver students are engaged in a variety of unique learning opportunities through our science lab, young astronauts program,  math stations, and 1-1 technology initiative (Grades 3-5).   We also offer a unique after school program that engages students in a variety of high interest topics including photography, cooking club and many others.
