Carver Wins Big at the Perennial Math Tournament at UALR
Carver Magnet was represented at the Perennial Math Competition at UALR on Saturday, Oct. 21. The teams received several honors. In individual competitions Leah Williams placed 3rd for 3rd grade, Pablo Vasquez was 1st in 4th grade, Sergio Vasquez was 2nd in 5th grade, and Sara Johnson finished 3rd in 5th grade. As a team the 3-4 grade team from Carver finished 1st. The team included Pablo Vazquez, Leah Williams, Kerem Karabacak, Xakhi Weston, and Ethan Colon. The four receiving medals and the first place team will have the opportunity to compete in the National Competition in the spring. This will be an on-line competition.
