Painted Lady Butterflies Hatch in Preschool

The preschool 3 classroom cared for painted butterfly larvae by feeding them and being careful not to disturb them. We watched them eat and grow. Then they traveled up the side of the butterfly hutch to form a chrysalis. We waited and watched for ten days! This morning we came in to find that we had 4 butterflies in our hutch. We will decide on names for them and then release them in about a week.
