Today, Lola Perritt with the Arkansas Wildlife Federation stopped by the Science Lab to talk to kids about aquatic life. During the 21st Century program, she took our 5th grade students out to our school pond to look for the minnows and goldfish that they put in there last fall. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the fish survived the winter months and have grown quite a bit. Students then took water and plant samples from the pond to look at with microscopes in the lab. Everyone had a great time and we appreciate Lola's expertise in helping identify all of the aquatic life in our Carver pond.
